Effective Tips Towards Good Parenting!

When it comes to parenting, there is no rule of thumb as to how to become a good parent but there are certain ways which one can adapt and become better with parenting and self-evaluation because parenthood is a phase that can only be experienced when one enters into it. And once he does, the challenges are many and so are the rewards.

So let’s jot down some easy tips that can help us become better parents who nurture happy kids and responsible citizens.

1. First practice, then preach

Children learn from whatever they SEE you doing. They imitate you because you are the one they interact with the most. So be very careful with whatever you do and ask them to do and evaluate if you yourself are doing it or not.

2. Be involved in your child’s life
Children need assurance that they can look upon you for every problem that they encounter. Ask them questions about their day. Discuss their matters. Show concern. Always be available to lend an ear to them.

3. Be expressive

Show them with your actions that you love them. Kissing, hugging and cuddling should be a mandatory part of your parenting no matter how older the children grow. Words like I love you, you are my sunshine; have a positive effect on them and they reciprocate even more warmly.

4. Give incentives and set rules

This should be done to discipline them because if not done earlier, their behaviours get difficult to manage. This is also going to benefit them in the long run and help them manage their life with principles.

5. Don’t spoil them with love

As a parent, it is quite natural to love them to bits but be careful with not over-doing it. They need to know the limitations and boundaries when they will be loved the most and for what they shall get disapproval.
