According to a day-to-day explicit notification issued by the educational department in Peshawar, Chinese government is going to allot 6 billion rupees towards the reforming and digitizing of school curriculum in the province.
K-P government is already looking forward to bring about a change in its academic syllabus in order to meet the modern day lines at higher levels in education. For this purpose, Chinese government is keen to invest the amount for a project that requires setting up of LMS (Learning Management Programs).
The new reforms will be modernizing the existing teaching methodologies by introducing digitized systems that will fulfill the contemporary demands in education sector throughout the province. Initially, representatives from the education sector of all the four provinces were invited and then it was decided to start with K-P schools focusing on their quality of education.
A 13-member delegation under CIECC Director General Senior Engineer Prof Lu Zhenli is expected to come to Peshawar to meet education ministry officials of the province and inaugurate the project. A Government Girls Higher Secondary School is expected to be the initial school under the digitizing project. It will start with selecting and short-listing the schools for digitization and after claiming success, the government will move forward towards rest of the schools for implementation.
All selected schools will be required to adopt the modern systems so that the quality of education improves and meets the modern vistas.
Lately, A lot of work is being done and stacks of money being invested in Khayber-Pakhtun-Khuaa for the sake of quality education with a wider reach. According to provincial education department’s report, in January 2018 a total of Rs 30 billion was invested for the provision of facilities that the schools were lacking. Many new teachers have also been hired across the province.
