Mom Confessions- Guilty As Charged

Welcoming a tiny little human into this world is easier than having to raise it. And while doing this, we mothers go through a lot. From sleep deprivations to skipping meals, forgetting about our tea to quick showers instead of proper baths, a mother in between this acquires the art of multi-tasking.

Recently we talked to some mothers and asked them to make confessions as a mom. Because every one of us has something to be guilty of after all. Some of the most common ones are as follows:

1. Ignoring Kids Because Of Technology
Present day problem; everyone of us is addicted to our cell-phones and keep on checking it for new notifications while being unable to cater our child’s needs and giving them undivided attention most of the time.

2. Feeding Junk When Laziness Prevails
Nobody is perfect. Then how do you expect a mother to be one? Yes we have our own mood swings and there are days when calculating the nutritional values seems another source of headache. And thus, as a short cut our child is fed with junk. Not too often but maybe, once a week?

3. Giving Extra Screen Time Because I want ME Time
Sometimes, it happens that we mother crave for some extra time to enjoy few more minutes of our nap specially on a weekend or keep watching television or read a book. It’s time like these when we (guilty inside) give more screen time to our kids to let the peace prevail. Sometimes!

4. Wishing For The School To Open Everyday
Once the school starts, we get so used to the alone time we spend with kids gone to school that holidays seem like a busy day full of extra duties and responsibilities. Then come more tantrums, endless crying over useless matters, annoying and other things that lead us to think, Holidays! Please end soon.

5. Hiding Your Favorite Snack
Sharing is caring holds true most of the times but not when it comes to food and snack, the favorite ones specially and thus we end up forcefully thinking, “Oh better hide it, it’s not healthy for our kids anyhow”.

Feel free to add more to these fun confessions as a mother.
