Shajeea Khalid from The Lyceum School, Karachi, won the Outstanding Delegate Award at the 2018 Harvard Model United Nations (MUN) which was held from Thursday, January 25th to Sunday, January 28th in Boston’s famous Back Bay neighborhood.
The Harvard MUN was first held in 1927 and this year was its sixty-fourth session with delegates coming in from over 40 countries around the world. At the MUN, delegates participate in four-day sessions where they experience an exciting and realistic simulation of the United Nations.
Shajeea, who represented Germany in the session, was competing with participants from all around the world. For her to have achieved an award for Outstanding Delegate is no small feat. She has not only made her country proud; in fact, she has shown that hard work and determination, backed by sound education are key to conquering the world.
